Wish me and my fellow students luck!

After an intensive 3 months of study – we will be sitting the Kinesiology Foundation practical exam tomorrow at the CNM.  This has been an incredible learning journey shared with fantastic students, and the good fortune to be tutored by Sonia Munafo. 

Kinesiology, for those who are new to it, is a holistic therapy which uses muscle response testing to measure the motor response of the central nervous system to a sensory challenge.  This testing helps to explore areas of imbalance or stress within our body which can be physical/structural, biochemical, electro-magnetic or emotional.  Imbalances identified are corrected to balance the energy flow of a muscle, such as identifying a nutritional insufficiency or chemical sensitivity, by performing a variety of gentle techniques such as neuro-lymphatic drainage from an organ, holding or tapping acupuncture points to stimulate energy flow, and by balancing meridians of the body.

I found the learning process both challenging and rewarding – I confess I had to sleep on the return train journey from London both due to the mental and physical learning process and just because my body had been balanced during the practical sessions and I was totally relaxed!! 

Once again, I am amazed by how magnificent our minds and bodies are!!
